IT Support Officer

HLL is an established provider of IT services and products within the health and elderly sector in Malta.

Healthcare Logistics Ltd is currently looking to recruit an IT Support Officer to join the team on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

The selected candidate/s will be primarily responsible for:

  • The provision of helpdesk support (1st and 2nd Line Support) to diagnose and resolve incidents;
  • The logging, escalation and resolution of reported incidents to meet the prescribed service levels in accordance with defined operational processes;
  • The development of end-user guides;
  • The development of User Acceptance Test Plans;
  • The provision of assistance in new system configuration and implementation where necessary.

Requirements

The selected candidate must:

  • Be In possession of a recognised qualification in ICT (Minimum: MQF Level 5);
  • Have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience providing IT application related support;
  • Have the ability to think logically, communicate effectively and possess excellent listening skills;
  • Be able to use IT Office automation tools;
  • Be eager to learn new technologies;
  • Be able to communicate fluently in English;

Bonus Skills / Qualifications

In addition to the above one or more of the following skills/certifications will give you a better chance of landing the job:

  • Familiarity with ticketing solutions;
  • Familiarity with Server Operating Systems.
  • Be willing to work on a shift basis (day only), should the need arise;
  • Have a valid license and own transportation.

Throughout his career, he has led teams through complex troubleshooting processes, streamlined workflows, and ensured high customer satisfaction rates across various industries. With hands-on expertise in system administration, user support, and process automation, Ahmed has a knack for turning technical challenges into seamless solutions.

He thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoy mentoring junior technicians to help them grow into confident, capable support specialists. His leadership approach is rooted in clear communication, accountability, and continuous learning.

Outside of work, he is passionate about staying active, whether it’s hitting the gym or playing some hoops with his kids.
